Problems Are Hard To Fix

Edited: March 15, 2021 (v0.0.1)

Master craftsmen make hard things look simple.

Apprentices make mistakes on their way to mastering their trade. These mistakes, over time, crystalize as learnings. As the learnings accumulate, they’re able to avoid problems that they encountered in the past. This avoidance of problems, in my opinion, is among the few key qualities of a true craftsman: it’s easier to avoid problems than to fix them.

Fewer strokes, more precise cuts, less room for error, yields a better end result, that to the untrained observer, makes the feat looks easy.
