Seek Balance

Akin’s 8th law, from [1], states:

In nature, the optimum is almost always in the middle somewhere. Distrust assertions that the optimum is at an extreme point.

Anything where the logical conclusion is to “seek balance” can be studied through the lens of thermodynamics, as I wrote about in another note. Balance implies n-sides, what are the physics that govern the debate at hand, what constraints are we optimizing for, etc.
